Green lunchbox idea

With schools starting back in a few weeks, one local Mum is selling an eco-friendly alternative for lunchboxes. Eco Snack Wraps are machine washable and replace the need for cling film or tin foil.

Eco Snack Wraps come from Australia, where parents are encouraged to cut down on packaging in their children’s lunchboxes. The wraps are a simple alternative to cling film or tin foil and are suitable for anything from sandwiches to flapjacks or fruit. They come in bright colourful designs and in different sizes to appeal to adults as well as children.

Donna Grant, a former teacher with 3 children herself, decided to become the UK distributor of the wraps after travelling in Australia. There sales have really taken off and the wraps are also being sold in New Zealand, Spain, Canada and America.

She says the wraps help people be a bit greener: “The focus is to reduce the impact of our disposable culture. Using these attractive re-usable sandwich wraps and pockets as an alternative to cling film, tin foil or bags can help reduce our ever-increasing landfill.”

The Eco Snack Wraps are available from The Green Grocers on Earlham Road and Jarrolds, in time for parents thinking about the new term in September. Orders can also be placed with Donna Grant on 01603 664551 or by email: mail@ecosnackwrap.co.uk
