New water park for city

A brand new water park opened today, perfect for hot summer days.

There’s been a pool at Waterloo Park, off Angel Road, for many years but it was expensive to maintain as it had to be emptied and refilled 3 times a week. Towards the end of last year, local families and school children were consulted on the improvements. £215,000 has been spent on the water park which includes water jets, spray showers, and an arching water fence. The water will then be used to irrigate the bowling greens and trees during the summer, reducing the park’s water costs.
