Matt Williams graduated as a geologist, and was initially recruited by Blue Circle Cement, later joining civil engineering firm May Gurney as a geotechnical engineer based in Norwich.
He subsequently co-founded SIC East Anglia, an independent site investigation company specialising in East Anglian ground conditions, and investigated over 2,000 sites over 22 years.
He has studied traffic engineering in continental Europe, and now works as an instructor for Smart Cycle Training.
He has written about subterranean Norwich for Heritage Economic and Regeneration Trust, HEART.
