Band supports Grapes Hill Community Garden

A 50s style swing band will perform this weekend to raise funds for a local community garden project. Last month, Grapes Hill Community Garden won an EcoAward for their work on the derelict site.  The money will go towards tools, which volunteers will use to transform a strip of urban wasteland near Grapes Hill. At the weekend a team of volunteers started clearing the site of litter and shrubs. The project is applying for funding from the National Lottery, B&Q and Comic Relief.
