David Cameron’s election campaign reached the city today – but didn’t come as far as the Norwich South constituency. The Conservative Party leader arrived at Sprowston High School this afternoon, after touching down at Norwich airport.

Antony Little (Cons), who’s standing for election in Norwich South was not surprised by the last minute nature of today’s visit. He said: “I’ve done a lot of campaigning in the past and in my experience party leader’s schedules are kept very confidential for security reasons and because the political agenda can change day by day.”

The Conservatives need to win 115 extra seats to gain a majority of one. Norwich South is 156th on their target list. Antony Little said: “We’re aiming for a solid majority, which would include gaining Norwich South.” And he’s hopeful that David Cameron will return to Norwich before the election campaign is over.
