City College Norwich has announced how much it will charge for higher education courses from September 2012.

Fees have been set at £6000 for higher education courses, such as business management, journalism and the humanities.

Around 1,500 students study on the College’s higher education programmes each year.

Students applying to start higher education courses from September 2011 will not be affected by the new fees.  The College is still accepting applicants for courses starting this September, and this cohort of students will pay the current national fee of £3,375 for the duration of their higher education courses.

Dick Palmer, Principal, City College Norwich, said: “With tuition fees increasing in all institutions, students will rightly look more closely at what they are getting from their higher education and we are confident they will find a quality and relevant provision at City College Norwich.  We are committed to providing students with the skills they need to succeed in their chosen career whilst offering the best possible student experience.”

As reported last month, the UEA is planning to set tuition fees at the maximum level of £9,000 a year.
