Eaton skatepark set to open for halfterm

The finishing touches are being added to a £300 thousand skatepark being built in the heart of south Norwich. Norwich City Council plans to open the new amenity in Eaton Park by this weekend, when schools break for halfterm. Work began in January to build the structure which is set below ground level, in one corner of the park. A group formed from Norwich’s skating community helped advise on the final sructure and layout. Designed for skateboarders, BMX bikers and rollerbladers, the new facility in Eaton Park has the capacity to stage national events… Full details to come once the official opening date’s announced.
