The former head of the British Army has officially opened the new extension to Cringleford Surgery. General Sir Richard Dannatt said: “As someone who lives here, I have every confidence we have a great team, who’ll be here to deal with whatever may come along in life”.

The state-of- the-art facilities are part-funded by the NHS and part-funded by The Humbleyard Practice. They include a minor surgery unit. Keith Shilton, from NHS Norfolk’s estate commissioning team said: “These facilities are one of the best in the county, at the same standard as a theatre in a hospital.” The extra space allows for additional consulting rooms and an extended teaching room for GPs and medical students. As Cringleford grows, the practice say they have space to expand further if necessary.
