A member of the public came across the 2 year old in the Barrett Road area, near the Hewett School,on July 3rd 2011. Police said at the time that “a driver was forced to take avoiding action narrowly missing the child.”
She was charged with ‘having responsibility for a child, who she willfully assaulted, ill-treated, neglected, abandoned or exposed, in a manner likely to cause him unnecessary suffering or injury to health.’
Today she received a 6 month sentence, suspended over 24 months, and has had a curfew placed on her between 7pm and 7am for 4 months.
