Norwich is hoping to draw visitors this Easter with the introduction of its first World Village Market.

30 stalls will stretch the length of Gentleman’s Walk offering arts, clothing, jewellery and hot food from across the world.

The organisers of the market were keen to “let locals get a look in” and invited people to apply to have a stall at this year’s market.

Paul Kennedy, from Market Square Group said: “We feel strongly that a local element is essential to add to the diversity of the products on offer, so are proud to be featuring a ‘Best of British’ section.”

Norwich City Council senior events co-ordinator Vicki Blake, added: “It’s a great chance for local traders to get involved in something a little bit different and get their products out to a whole new audience.”

The Easter funfair comes to Chapelfield Gardens from Good Friday to Bank Holiday Monday.
