New police station set to open

Work began over a year ago on the new building on the corner of Earlham and Colman roads, which will house around 70 police officers.

Police say the new deployment base should be operational by early August.

3 Safer Neighbourhood Teams who used Earlham Police Station as a base have been relocated to other sites for the past year. Once the new deployment centre is opened by early August, staff will be able to return. An ambulance sub station will also be based at the centre.
