Construction work begins on City Academy

A meeting was due to be held tonight, scrutinising the progress of local academy schools.

But Norwich Area Committee, which highlighted major changes happening within the city, has been abolished by the county council.

In our Opinion section, its former chair argues this is another nail in the coffin of local democracy.
