Why Norwich will be getting a white Christmas this year…
Special snow-making machines used on film sets are being brought in the make sure it snows this Christmas outside The Forum. The showers will be on the hour every hour throughout the day. Instead of a giant Christmas Tree, The Forum Trust are opting for a number of ‘normal’ sized trees, as well as some children’s fairground rides.
A large doll’s house, which contains all the elements of a country house including a ballroom and stable block, will be on display inside The Forum from Saturday 3rd December 2011. Scrivelsby Folly is an elegant Georgian House in 1/12th scale which was commissioned by Frances Winch in memory of her aunt.
A Christmas Craft & Gift Fair will run at The Forum from Wednesday 30th November through to Sunday 18th December 2011, while there will also be a Christmas Farmers’ Market on Thursday 15th December.
And there’s a chance to hear carols on Sunday 27th November 2011, with an Elvis twist. ’Carols with the King’ is a ”festive mix of Elvis’ Christmas songs plus some of his greatest classic hits and a Carol or two for you to sing along with”. Tickets for this event between £10-£14 available from Jarrold’s customer services 01603 660661.
