Stephen Fry to join local pub quiz team
A sell-out quiz night at The Garden House this Friday will feature the actor and presenter, Stephen Fry.
The well-known QI quiz-master, will link live to the pub from the BBC One Show, and help one lucky team answer the questions.
James Linder, who runs the Garden House said: “Stephen Fry was voted the No 1 celebrity who people would like to see on a pub quiz team… so he’s going to join one of the teams, helping them answer the questions.” The One Show producers’ plan is to link live to the Golden Triangle pub, during Friday’s show, screened at 7pm.
The Garden House is staging a special quiz night as part of Norwich Wine Festival. Emily Barclay, who helped organise the festival’s quiz said it’s great publicity for them, in their second year: “We’ve been telling everyone we know on Twitter and Facebook… We just now hope the live link goes to plan. I’ve emailed over some questions over to the One Show producers on literature, language and wine, which are all subjects he knows a lot about.”
Stephen Fry, a former student at City College, still has strong links to the city.
