Stolen VW beetle found via Facebook

A 1970s Volkswagen Beetle stolen from a driveway off the Avenues has been recovered, thanks to the power of Facebook. A group was set up online, hoping for information to trace the car. 

Around 100 friends were contacted via the social networking site, who all live in the Norwich area. Within two hours, it had been spotted by a friend, who reported it on Facebook. The delighted owner was able to pick it up from Cooper’s Lane in Lakenham, where it had been abandoned.
