Traffic delays likely during protest

Police will operate a rolling road closure this morning as City College students march on County Hall.

Motorists are being advised to find alternative routes around the inner ring road between 11am and midday today. Students will be gathering from 10am outside City College Norwich, before marching along Queen’s Road into Bracondale and onto County Hall.

As reported last week, their concerns centre on plans which could see the price of student bus passes almost double.

Norfolk Constabulary is reassuring members of the public that their safety remains their top priority as officers oversee the protest.

Protest march went past us along Queens Road about 11.15, looked very orderly although police nearly outnumbered students and they had five polic riot vans following behind them!
