Woman in court over lost toddler

A woman, whose toddler was found unattended near a busy city road last month, has appeared in court.

The 39 year old woman, who’s not being named to protect the identity of her children, has been committed to Norwich Crown Court. She’s been charged with having responsibility for a child, who she willfully assaulted, ill-treated, neglected, abandoned or exposed, in a manner likely to cause him unnecessary suffering or injury to health.

She will appear at Norwich Crown Court on 27th September 2011.
