Woman in court over lost toddler
A woman, whose toddler was found unattended near a busy city road earlier this month, has appeared in court.
The 39 year old woman, who’s not being named to protect the identity of her children, appeared before Norwich Magistrates yesterday, charged with child neglect.
A 2 year old boy was discovered unattended near the ring road on Sunday 3rd July.
A member of the public came across the 2 year old in the Barrett Road area, near the Hewett School. As a result of the incident, police have used their powers of protection in relation to four children, including the two-year-old boy, and are working closely with Children’s Services at Norfolk County Council.
The 39-year-old woman will appear at Norwich Magistrates Court again on 30th August 2011.
