Last year, a man in his mid-70s pulled out of a side street onto Earlham Road on his bike.
The driver of a car, heading out of Norwich, failed to spot him in time. He later died in hospital from his injuries.
During the inquest into his death, it struck me maybe it’s time for local people to tackle this issue head-on.
I was surprised to read in the newspaper recently that one in five expectant parents is unaware of the need to talk to their baby.

You only have to google to find accounts of ancient secret passageways criss-crossing beneath the city linking various landmarks.
As a local geologist, I’d argue we need to separate tunnel myth from tunnel reality. Read More…
After a difficult pregnancy and after talking to other women about their own health, I realised I wanted to do something to help women feel better about themselves.
As a result I launched Life After Birth, for women who don’t feel their minds and bodies have quite slotted back in the way they should after giving birth.
Now I’m widening this out to include all women, through “The Holistic Hub”.
Regular events will be staged locally, giving women a chance to access a wide range of advice and support. Read More…
