Steve Emmens 45 year old, standing for UKIP in Norwich South. Became interested in politics from the age of 18 years old, stood and was elected as a Conservative parish councillor in my home town in the 90s.
I strongly believe in standing up for my local people in Norwich South. Already I have achieved getting a young single mum’s 2nd child into the same school as her big sister. Have had railing put in a disabled ladies garden so she can enjoy being outside more and a kitchen for a local young mum with three kids.
Some of the local issues I feel need tackling are: blue badge holders should be able to park for free in council car parks. I’ll be working toward this aim also making sure the Labour council does not sell of the car parks for 42 million.
Getting pensioners a better deal, no tax for pensioners and low paid starting at £11500. Pensioners need somewhere to socialize so help to stop the closure of the Essex and Silver rooms.
The scandal of having chips inserted into wheelie bins to enable a pay as you throw tax by this council, EU behind this needs to be addressed.
Local police on the beat not filling in politically correct forms. Train PCSOs and Wardens to be policepersons, then they can actually do something instead of watching crime or worse children die.
Local funds for local people, council homes to go back to a waiting list with no priority for immigrants no matter where they come form. Stop this building houses for just for immigrants and don’t build over our green belt space.
