Adrian Ramsay: Green Party

Apr 03, 2010, 08:21am By Claire Wood

Norwich South voters can make a real impact at the General Election by electing a Green to Parliament to press for the creation of lasting jobs and protection of public services. This experience puts me in a good position to maximise the influence of Green MPs in a hung Parliament. Read More…

Steve Emmens: UKIP

Apr 03, 2010, 08:18am By Claire Wood

Steve Emmens 45 year old, standing for UKIP in Norwich South. Became interested in politics from the age of 18 years old, stood and was elected as a Conservative parish councillor in my home town in the 90s.

I strongly believe in standing up for my local people in Norwich South.  Already I have achieved getting a young single mum’s 2nd child into the same school as her big sister. Have had railing put in a disabled ladies garden so she can enjoy being outside more and a kitchen for a local young mum with three kids. Read More…

Antony Little: Conservative

Apr 03, 2010, 08:16am By Claire Wood

Norwich is a great place to live, work and bring up a family. We should be proud of our City but be honest about our problems.

In Norwich the crime rate is among the lowest in England, yet we’re blighted by the fear of crime and anti-social behaviour. I support Conservative plans to reduce the paperwork burden on the police and get them visibly back on the street.

Dec 28, 2009, 16:45pm By Claire Wood

Like it or not, 2010 will see a general election. As the electioneering begins, Norwich South will be one to watch for a number of reasons.

First off, it’s the seat of the former Home Secretary, Charles Clarke. Since winning it in 1997, he’s held a comfortable lead ahead of the other parties, gaining 37.7% of the vote in the last election.
