In the early 1900s, Jeremiah Colman bought a 3,500 year old mummy shroud, along with over 200 other Egyptian artifacts. The shroud is now part of the Castle Museum collection, alongside a mummy gifted by George V.
The stories behind the collection will be explored in a series of talks at the RC cathedral throughout October.
