Here at South Norwich News we’re working on a new Features section, giving us scope to cover a wider range of topics.
In the pipeline we’ve got stories about fledgling businesses who’re offering something new to the area. As well as telling the tales of local entrepreneurs, we’ll look at life for our MP, just a few months into the job. And we’ll feature some ideas for this summer, such as boot camps and the best barbeques.
All this takes a bit of work behind the scenes. While we tear our hair out, we will be back with the new look South Norwich News from Monday 16th August.

An animation short has been launched to highlight the Norfolk leg of this September’s Tour of Britain, which will see over 100 cyclists race through south Norwich.
A community radio station based in west Norwich has become the first in the UK to be awarded an expanded licence. Test transmissions on the new frequency – 107.8 – started yesterday, broadcasting across the city. Read More…

Dozens of students. Hundreds of hours. One show.
On Tuesday, City College’s School of Creative Arts students have good reason to be nervous. Their job: to produce and perform a live show at Norwich’s Epic studios. It’s taken weeks of careful planning, choreography and design. It’ll be broadcast online, as well as in front of an audience of future employers.
Hundreds of people, young and old, could turn up to play a huge game of “it” in Chapelfield Gardens this Saturday. Over five thousand people have joined the organiser’s Facebook group. The only stipulations: wear a blue top, a hat and bring a pound or more for Cancer Research. Read More…
