City’s first bus interchange

A new bus service started today, linking the train station to the UEA, via Eaton. One of the stops for the new No 30 is the ’interchange’ on Newmarket Road. While it currently looks no different to an ordinary bus stop, in time it will be a point from where passengers can catch connecting buses to a number of different locations, avoiding the city centre. 4 dimensional pregnancy scans are being offered in south Norwich for the first time, by a private clinic on Newmarket Road. Pregnant women can to see detailed images of their babies moving around within the womb. Unlike a normal ultrasound, expectant Mums can see their babies smile, yawn and wiggle their toes. Read More…

Avoid the queues; roadworks start on Eaton bypass

Eaton bypass

Work starts on Monday on a scheme to extend the city-bound bus lane on Newmarket Road. The bus lane will become 24 hour, and start from the dual carriageway on the Eaton bypass. It’s part of wider scheme to develop faster, more efficient public transport in Norwich.
