The growth of the UEA is putting a strain on car parking on nearby streets and in Eaton and Earlham parks. Residents have complained they find it difficult to park outside their homes. Charges could be introduced in the parks to tackle the problem of all-day parking.
Concerns have also been raised that no extra spaces have been planned to cater for visitors to Eaton Park’s new 300 thousand pound Skate Park, due to open in the summer. Norwich City Council wants to hear what residents think by 26th March 2010.

Silent events have taken off among the music scene. On New Year’s Eve, The Royal Festival Hall hosted a silent disco on the South Bank in London. But the organisers say no venue is too big or too small. They’ll even cater for silent parties.
