Verity Gibson is the former manager of the Sensory Support Team at Norfolk County Council.
As a qualified social worker with 30 years of service, she helped build up the team from 1990 when it was set up, until she retired in 2003.
Since retiring she does voluntary work for two local charities and is a member of Unison Retired Members Committee.
She believes Social Care is unsuited to the whims of market forces and is committed to quality Public provision.
